Why tiny self-care works
When you’re stressed or low, big plans feel impossible. Tiny steps don’t. A glass of water, two minutes of fresh air or one kind message are small enough to actually do, and each one is a small way of telling yourself you matter. Doing one makes the next a little easier.
That’s the idea behind Otti: tiny steps, no guilt. If you want more structure, read our guide to building a self-care routine without guilt or these tiny self-care habits for anxiety.

Questions people ask
What counts as self-care?
Anything small that looks after your body, mind or relationships: drinking water, stepping outside, resting, messaging a friend. It doesn’t have to be expensive or take long.
What if I have no energy at all?
Set energy to “Low”. Those ideas take a minute or two and can mostly be done sitting down. On the hardest days, one sip of water or one slow breath counts.
How often should I do self-care?
A little, often. One or two tiny things a day adds up more than a big self-care day once a month, and it’s easier to keep going.
Is self-care selfish?
No. Looking after yourself gives you more energy and patience for the people and things you care about.
