- You like guided programmes, audio coaching, workouts and affirmations.
- You want an Apple Watch app or a community of support groups.

What Fabulous does well
Fabulous, made by Fabulous SAS, is a habit coach built on behavioural science. It walks you through morning, afternoon and evening routines with alarms, guided Journeys that last 3 to 12 weeks, Challenges of 5 to 30 days and short audio coaching, alongside journaling, workouts, breathing and affirmations. Circles let you join peer support groups and live community challenges. It runs on iPhone, Apple Watch, Apple Vision and Android.
- Real structure. Guided Journeys and Challenges build your routines step by step, based on behavioural science.
- Coaching you can listen to, plus journaling, workouts, breathing and affirmations in one app.
- A calm, polished design that reviewers often praise.
- Circles, peer support groups and live community challenges, if you’d like company along the way.
- Streak Freezes: you start with two and can earn more, so one missed day doesn’t have to break your streak.
- An Apple Watch app, and Editors’ Choice badges on both the US App Store (4.4 stars from about 89K ratings) and Google Play.
How Otti is different
- A pet instead of a coach. You hatch one of six 3D otters, each with its own look and personality, and care for it tamagotchi-style: feeding, naps, bubble baths and play. It never gets sick and never dies.
- Tiny steps rather than routines. You pick a small daily plan from 16 gentle steps, like drinking water, stretching or messaging someone. After three steps in a day, a clam present opens with a little treasure.
- A story to grow into. Your otter grows from pup to grown-up and travels down the river in six chapters, with an evening story to unlock on days you take care of yourself.
- A day count with nothing to protect. It restarts after a missed day, but growth and story progress never reset, so there are no freezes to manage.
- Your journal and mood check-ins stay on your phone, and there are no ads.
- Otti does less: no coaching programmes, audio coaching, workouts or affirmations, no community groups and no Watch app. It’s new and in beta.
Pricing
Fabulous’s help centre says you can use the app without Premium indefinitely. Fabulous Premium unlocks more; on the US App Store its prices range from $16.99 to $59.99, including a $49.99 annual subscription and a $39.99 quarterly plan, though most billing periods aren’t labelled. We couldn’t confirm whether there’s a lifetime plan. The free trial needs a payment method and turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends; trials started on the web place a $1 hold on your card. Subscriptions bought on the Fabulous website are billed separately and have to be cancelled on the website, not through Apple or Google. Fabulous’s sister apps, such as Shape, Elixir and Clarify, each have their own subscription. Many recent 1-star reviews on the US App Store are about billing and cancelling.
Otti is in beta and free to try. Pebbles, the currency for outfits and treats, are only earned through self-care and can’t be bought. We’ll share full pricing before launch.
Missing a day
Fabulous has no pet, so there’s nothing to look after when you miss a day. It does keep a streak: a day counts if you finish at least one routine. You start with two Streak Freezes and can earn more, and a missed day doesn’t break your streak while a freeze is active.
In Otti, your otter can get hungry, sleepy or a bit messy if you’ve been away, but it never gets sick, never dies and is always happy to see you. Its growth and story progress never reset. There is a simple day count, but nothing is taken away when it restarts.
